We plan private treks in the Cordillera Huayhuash and Cordillera Blanca, from selected sections of a route to longer expeditions. You can ask us to organise the walking and mountain support, or the surrounding days in Huaraz too.

The ideas below are starting points. We agree the route and daily stages with you, taking account of access, season, available services and your group’s experience. Technical climbs are quoted separately and require an assessment of the mountain, conditions, guiding and equipment.

What we can tailor

Your dates and time in the mountains

Choose your travel dates and how many days you have. We suggest a route that fits the time available, including access and return travel.

The route and walking pace

Tell us which places interest you and about your walking experience. We plan the camps and daily stages around the route and your group. Shorter treks can still involve demanding days at altitude.

Your private group

Travel on your own, as a couple, with friends or as a family. We arrange the guide, cook, arrieros and transport for the group and itinerary we agree.

Before and after the trek

Add nights in Huaraz, guided acclimatisation walks, arrival and departure transfers, sleeping equipment or other agreed services.

A few ways to explore

The Huayhuash figures below are 2027 Classic reference prices per person from our rate card. They help you plan a budget; your custom trip is quoted for your group, route and services.

Around 5 trek days

A shorter Huayhuash trek

A selected section of the range for travellers with less time. Rocío will recommend the route and camps that work for your group.

  1. 1. Before the mountains

Arrive in Huaraz and allow time for acclimatisation. Add accommodation or guided walks if you would like us to arrange them.

  2. 2. A selected mountain route

Walk a shorter section of Huayhuash, with high passes and camps chosen for the agreed route. Fewer days can mean longer walking stages.

  3. 3. Return arrangements

The five-day Classic route finishes in Huayllapa. Return transport and any night needed there are additional, and are specified in your proposal.

More time in Huayhuash

Spend more days in the range, with a route that can cover more ground or distribute the walking differently where the terrain allows.

  1. 1. Prepare in Huaraz

Agree your arrival, acclimatisation and equipment arrangements before travelling to the trailhead.

  2. 2. An extended circuit

Build the route around the valleys, lakes and passes you want to visit. Camps and daily distances are confirmed in your itinerary.

  3. 3. After the circuit

Arrange the return to Huaraz and add a night to rest, equipment rental or departure transfers as needed.

Guide prices are not a fixed quote or a guaranteed minimum. Huaraz accommodation, acclimatisation and additional services change the total. The five-day Classic route ends in Huayllapa, with return transport and any overnight stay charged separately. Cordillera Blanca trips require a personalised quote.
